If your little one has been interested in the whole slime craze lately then why don’t you check out how to to make your very own homemade flubber! It takes roughly 20 minutes to make and you only need a few ingredients. Flubber is lots of fun, bouncy and relatively easy to make. Read on for the homemade flubber recipe!
You need:
1.5 cups water
Large microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl
Food colouring or liquid watercolours. *By using food colouring makes it taste safe*
2 Tablespoons of psyllium husk fiber supplement (like Metamucil) – Click on the links to be directed to where you can buy these items.
Method
Add 1.5 cups of water to the large microwave-safe measuring up or bowl and add the food colouring or liquid water colour. Remember to choose your favourite colour! Next add 2 tablespoons of the psyllium husk fiber supplement to the water and stir well. Microwave the mixture for 2.5 minutes and just keep checking on it. If it bubbles over, open the microwave door for a minute then continue. Microwave again in intervals for 1.5 minutes. Then transfer into a plate or bowl and place in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
If the flubber is too sticky just pop it make into the microwave for a bit longer. Just make sure you keep checking it.
It’s a very simple and fun activity for children to play with. The only part that requires a bit of effort is getting the psyllium husk supplement beforehand.
Benefits of this recipe
This recipe also has many benefits. This recipe is gluten, dairy, soy nut, egg and corn free! As mentioned above this recipe could also be taste safe too if you use food colouring instead of liquid watercolours.

Every time I read one of your posts, I want to make whatever it is, despite not having children myself. Although I did mention this one to my godchildren so we’ll have to give it a go. How fun!
